Onboarding instructions for CTE Students

This is an article designed to provide step by step instructions on logging into change the initial CTE student password and accessing webmail.

Step 1 - Open your web browser and navigate to: id.rcgc.edu and click on "Change your password".

 

 

Step 2 - Enter the username and password that was provided by your Instructor.

 

 

Step 3 - Follow the guidelines shown on the screen to create a new password. As you complete the requirements a check mark will appear next to each.

Once you have completed all of the requirements, click "Continue". You will be given a confirmation that your password change has been successful

and it will bring you back to the original starting page in Step 1.

 

 

Step 4 - Next, navigate your browser to portal.office.com. Enter your RCSJ email on the line provided, then click "Next".

The format of your email address will ​​​​​​​be <your username​​​​​​​>@cte.rcsj.edu

 

 

Step 5 - Enter your username and your newly changed password, then click "Sign In".

 

 

 

Step 6 - If you would like to reduce the number of times you are asked to login, click "Yes".

 

 

Step 7 - You are now on the main Office page. Your email can be accessed by clicking on the Blue icon with the O, which stands for Outlook. You may also use

the Microsoft Office apps (Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.) in your browser by selecting the other icons that appear on the left.

 

 

Step 8 - You are now using the Outlook web app, mail messages will appear in the Inbox folder.
