Request a course copy.

Directions

Please provide the following information to request that an eLearning team member copy course content from a previous semester or from a DEV shell for you. You can only request one course copy per form.


Please note that you are still responsible for updating dates, deadlines, availability, and all other information in your shell once the copy is complete.
 

Course to copy content FROM

In this section, you will provide us with information about the course we are copying content FROM. This is the course that currently has the content you would like to copy.

The Course CRN is a 5-digit number that uniquely identifies your course. (Examples: 59685 or 10384).

If you are requesting to copy from a DEV shell you will need to supply the full course name and ID so we can make sure we get the correct DEV shell.
Example: Fall 2019, Winter 2020, Spring 2020, Summer 2020

If you are copying from a DEV Shell, simply type DEV.

What should be included in the copy?

By default, we will include all course content in the copy, which means your whole course menu and course files will be copied. The copy does not include any students or student data (like grade center info).

In the section below, answer a few questions to give us more detail about what we should or should not include in the copy.
If you select yes, all of the announcements you posted in your course will be copied into your new course. Some instructors like to start fresh without copying them, but others like to re-use old announcements.
If you select yes, all of the posts made by you and your students on the discussion board threads will be copied into your new course. Most instructors choose no, but some choose yes because they like to reuse their own threads. Previous student threads will be listed as anonymous and can easily be removed.

NOTE: your discussion description (usually where you give the students their prompt) will be included in the copy by default.

Course to copy content INTO

In this section, you will provide us with information about the course we are copying content INTO. This is the course that is currently empty.

The Course CRN is a 5-digit number that uniquely identifies your course. (Examples: 59685 or 10384).

If you are requesting to copy into a DEV shell you will need to supply the full course name and ID so we can make sure we get the correctly DEV shell.
Example: Fall 2019, Winter 2020, Spring 2020, Summer 2020

If you are copying into a DEV Shell, simply type DEV.
Please include any additional comments or requests (merging/crosslisting, details about what you would like help with, etc.).
