Gmail - 2-Step Verification (RCSJ Cumberland Students)

What is 2-Step Verification?
2-Step Verification (also called Multifactor Authentication) adds a layer of protection to the sign-in process. When accessing accounts or apps, users provide additional identity verification, such as approving login via authentication app or entering a code received by phone.

How does 2-Step Verification work?
Once 2-Step Verification is activated for your RCSJ Gmail account, there will be a 14 day grace period to register through an authenticator app, mobile or office phone number.

If you have not registered a device, you will be unable to access anything related to your Gmail account: email, Google Drive, etc.

After you register, you will be prompted to verify a device the first time that you are using your RCSJ-Cumberland Gmail account (i.e - RCSJ computer, phone, etc.)
