The directions below explain how an instructor can place the Course Materials tool link in their Blackboard course in order to provide access to digital content provided by VitalSource/Yuzu or to an Access Code required by some publishers.
Blackboard Ultra Courses
If you are teaching a course using Ultra Course View, follow the directions below to place the Course Materials tool link into your course:
- Decide where you want to place the link to your digital materials and click on the + sign.
- From the options listed, choose Content Market.
- Find "Course Materials" listed on the page and click the small + sign at the bottom right corner of the tile. This will place the link in your course.
- Be sure to set the new link to be visible to students.
Test the link: As an instructor, click the link. It should take you to a page where you'll see the course listed, and it will display a preview of your book/materials. You should see a READ NOW button or a REVEAL CODE button. If you don't see one of these two options, please contact your publisher to find out how to provide access to your digital course materials.
